'Just wanted to say many thanks again for what could be a life-changing day for Lauren. She's well and truly hooked, pardon the pun’.

'Brilliant day yesterday! Well done to both of you and the legion of
helpers.  Wonderful example of Cornwall/Devon areas working
together.  Ivybridge has a fabulous new angling facility with access for
all.  Local people certainly celebrated the opening in style.  The Mayor
catching a fish with his first cast couldn't have been better scripted.

'The success is down to you and your team of stars. Please pass on my
thanks to all involved. Great work!'

'Thank you for the help and assistance you gave me during our three sessions

together.  Apart from the techniques we covered, I learnt so much from the
chats we had whilst waiting for the fish to bite.  It has been so helpful
knowing someone who passes on such good advice so readily.

'Putting things into practice, I ventured up to
Stoneham last Friday to join
the big boys!  I started off with a waggler using sweetcorn for bait and on
the very first cast I landed a large and very unfriendly eel!  Later on I
switched to a light leger using a quivertip.  Well, I thought the fishing was
good before but I had an outstanding few hours.  The best was a large tench,
I'm hopeless at guessing weights but this was a biggun!  The funny thing was
that it hardly put up a fight in the water, it preferred to wait and put up an
almighty struggle on the unhooking mat!!

'Thanks again Jim, I'm beginning to feel like a proper angler now!'

'Mum and I just wanted to say a big thanks - the day was perfect and she
talked about it all the way home!

'Hopefully, I will have the time to have more lessons and improve.

'So, I will be in touch.'

'When things 'come together' it brings a warm glow. Over the past few weeks on Fisherman’s Blues, Steve Gray, who runs www.allthingspiscatorial.com has called in to advise what coaching events are on that weekend.

'I had a call from Steve, who had heard from one of the coaches running an event, that a father had phoned him from Oxford within 10 minutes of Steve’s spot on FB and checked that he could come along (to Solihull!).

'He had never fished before, but wanted his son - who had shown an interest - to ‘have a go’.  Ian (the coach) went on to say that the lad caught a 1lb roach within five minutes, followed by several rudd and a crucian.  Ian also said that four of the five new-to-angling attendees had heard about the day on FB.

'That I have non-anglers as listeners is superb; that I could help promote an event is better; and that there are new anglers out there because of such people as Steve and Ian is outstanding.'
