FISHING OVER THE WALL ON THE
Fishing event company For Life Experiences had the pleasure of introducing young people to the joys of angling this summer while they attended the superb Over The Wall summer camp held at
Fishing was a huge success with large numbers of roach, dace, bleak and perch being caught. At the end of every week the top rods received a Shakespeare pole and fishing hat which really made their week. ‘Introducing fishing as an activity at camp has been a real hit’ said organiser Caroline Penn. ‘It has been fantastic seeing the smiles on the young peoples faces when they catch a fish. Our hope is that when they need a little quite time at home or are not feeling well, fishing will now be a relaxing option to help them feel better and get out into the fresh air’ said For Life Experiences Director Graham Mabey.
Top catches of the week include a 2lb+ perch to Jack, a 4lb pike (on a three metre whip!) to Jack, 42 fish in 45 minutes to Abba and the terrific trio of Brandan, Jay and Jake who caught over one hundred fish between them in their session. ‘Thanks to all the young people who made our summer and the Over The Wall team for putting together such a worthwhile, amazing event’.
