Crowborough & District Anglers Association

The following account of the day was written by Rogel Funnell of Crowborough & District Anglers Association.

26 young anglers enjoyed the junior coaching day organised by Crowborough & District Anglers Association, in conjunction with National Federation of Anglers
coaches, on a local Crowborough water this weekend.

Pennybridge lake, which was developed with the aid of Lottery funding, provides disabled access for the Associations members and ‘day ticket’ anglers and has become the regular venue for this popular annual event.

Association members assisted qualified coaches from the National Federation of Anglers providing instruction at the waterside.

Participants were divided between morning and afternoon sessions, with both sessions providing plenty of action for the young people. The day was enjoyed by all, with some catching for the first time.

The coaches were funded by Crowborough Town Council and  the day was supported by CDAA and many local businesses, with prizes being donated by several ‘tackle shops and tackle firms’ with each junior participants walking away with a wonderful selection of fishing equipment.
